The Old Boys Weekend ® 2008
The Malay College Kuala Kangsar
April 18-20, 2008
The Old Boys’ Weekend, or OBW® for short, is an annual homecoming event for the old boys of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK). The weekend is usually filled with games between the old boys and the students as well as teachers of the College. There are also other activities such as a forum; career talks; a dinner and musical show; and other fares. The old boys enjoyed the weekend (without their families) and re-lived their experiences during the school days years ago. They played their favourite games, eat at their favourite joints, stayed at the old dormitories, and passed their times by telling old stories of their escapades during their times in College. Those who have been to the OBW® will usually look forward to go to the next one!

Accomodation will be provided at Pavilion only. Registration fees are RM30 for MCOBA members; RM40 for non-members; RM10 for student-MCOBs (please present student card)
Old Boys are requested to preserve decorum. Smoking (cigarettes, pipes, pots) and drinking (beer, wine, liquor, spirit) are forbidden in the MCKK campus. For those who still crave to smoke, please do so at designated areas marked “Sudut Maut”; and please don’t throw cigarette butts around. Those caught smoking at NON-designated areas will be fined RM5 for every offense.
For those who will be participating in the OBW sports, please be at the designated court/field/pool on time. Since you’re now an old boy, you may wear colored black shorts for games! Your sports coordinator for the weekend is Sdr Azli Abdullah @ Mattbab (HP: 013-368 0939; azli.abdullah@mcoba.org)
Happy Anniversary to Tunku Datuk Seri Adnan bin Tunku Besar Burhanuddin & his few remaining classmates of ’48 (60th), Class of ’58 (50th),Class of ’68 (40th), Class of ’78 (30th), Class of ’88 (20th), Class of ’98 (10th).
By the way, the weekend coincides with the Sultan of Perak’s birthday celebration. The Pesta Air and Karnival have been postponed to a week later. The panjut and bunga api in Kuala Kangsar will take place on Friday, April 18. Here’s the celebration for MCOBs’ information:
